- Abstract: A new genus of myrmicine ants, with two new species, is described from the Philippines. Aretidris gen.n. comprises ground-foraging ants apparently restricted to elevations above 900 meters a.s.l. on Luzon Island. Two new species, Aretidris buenaventei sp.n. and Aretidris clousei sp.n., are described. An identification key and a brief discussion are provided.
